i don't have a top 5...but i'd place the chargers (the only team that matters to me) up in there. hehe

2 weeks in and the Giants are 2-0 against division opponents. Sure they got a little lucky against the Cowboys because Romo sucks, but the Eagles are in terrible shape, and Eli will be just fine once he figures out how to throw a RZ TD. Sure sounds like a perfect time for an "I told you so"

I actually can't believe they lost to Philly...you're right. But still, I think the NFC East is filled with enough questions on all teams. The Giants may not have Plax anymore, but they do have Eli who's going to come out firing to show he deserves the ridiculous contract he got. The Cowboys have the same issue as the Giants do...no WRs and a nice running game. The Eagles too...if Westbrook and McNabb go down, all they've got left is Vick.

Sounds like somebody still can't believe his team lost in the postseason, but yeah, the Giants aren't a contender this year. If Jacobs goes down this team won't be better than .500 and the odds are he will. He hasn't played a full season yet if my memory serves me correctly.

Jonny, I think the Cowboys and quite possibly the Eagles will be ahead of the Giants. The Giants just really aren't that good. And they DEFINITELY aren't 12-4 good. They play two against Dallas, two against Philly, Minnesota, Arizona and New Orleans. They're a 10-6 team, just like they were when they had the biggest postseason fluke of all time and pulled out that Super Bowl win.

Are we serious here? The Giants are trash? The Giants will finish on top of the NFC East again at 12-4 at LEAST.

Convissar, I agree completely on the Giants. They are trash. They have above average defense and an above average running game, but I don't think that's enough to come out of that division this year. But the Chargers? People always rank them highly but they haven't been able to put together a solid contender in years. Maybe you meant to put the Ravens at 3?

DF, I think you seriously underestimate Joe Flacco and you probably haven't paid attention to his preseason. Brady will be hurt exactly on week 4. Your running backs are terrible and your passing game is the only saviour that this team has. Your defense is older than the Ravens and less talented at almost every position. I could go, but I will just say that we will have fun talking smack after week 4. Best of luck on the season though seriously.

1. Steelers
2. Pats
3. Chargers
4. Eagles
5. Vikings
I am sorry. i am sick of this love for the Giants. The eagles went into the Meadowlands twice in five weeks and detsroyed them both times. Without Plaxico, the Giants, even with a good defense, are not a great team. Eli is mediocre at best (defense desvered MVP at superbowl) and without the big, physical possession reciever to cover up Eli's faults, they can not score. Even with Jacobs. his WR stink right now

Joeprah, the Ravens will be a non-factor. Although I do like Ray Rice (who will be the starting RB by midseason) the Ravens have crappy receivers and their defense isn't what it used to be. Pittsburgh is going to take that division and I honestly think Cincy is a sleeper this year.
But how you rank the Ravens ahead of the Patriots is beyond me. Seriously, c'mon! A healthy Brady combined with Moss, Welker, Galloway and a RB combo of Maroney/Taylor/Morris? Sure the defense is a little suspect with a young secondary, but to balance that you have Richard Seymour, Ty Warren, Vince Wilfork and the stud that is Jerod Mayo! Brady will throw for something like 35 TD and 12 INT and Moss will keep on being a Top 3 wide receiver. The Patriots have too many weapons and the Ravens, well...they can't match up!
