Greetings kind Dad Blogs folks. This is just a quick service announcement from Team Dad Blogs to our devoted constituency to inform folks that the chat on the bottom of page will be going away for the time being. Until we can secure a dedicated environment for our community we will need to do without chat. It seems each option we have pursued is a costly resource burden. In other words, we believe the benefit of having chat is negated by the adverse affect it has on the overall performance of our site--that and we are stretching the limits of our hosting service thin.
So, with that in mind--we encourage folks to use the direct message system here at Dad Blogs to stay in touch with each other or simply write notes on each others walls--you know, kind of like Facebook. We do plan on revisiting chat soon, and the timetable isn't far out. This is a decision made to improve the Dad Blogs experience and we thank everyone for their understanding during the absence of chat.
If you hang out in this forum for longer than sixteen seconds, you'll realize that there is a ton of talent and creativity here at Dad Blogs.We are creative with our words, some are creative with their art, and others could be creative with their designing skills.Whatever it is, most of us have this latent quality that we want to explode on a grander scale.
We would like to write that book. We would like our graphic designs to get noticed.We would like our mad guitar skills to be on some sort of music track.Whatever it is we have this social forum where can help each other out.
We are all brothers and sisters with the common bond of parenting and we respect each other because of it.

Tweaks
As we often do here at Dad Blogs, we tweak things. We are constantly trying to improve our site and the experience for our end users. That being said, we have some exciting new updates to pass onto the community.
Now, I know many of you have read about the “Mentally Sexiest Contest” at Dad Blogs, but for some unknown reason we have only one entrant thus far. We are even giving away iPods!! The dads down unda have a similar contest available to them with only underwear as the reward. Under. Wear. I am not saying underwear isn’t great and all, but c’mon—we’re giving away iPods…with our own money.
The Australian dad blogger, Reservoir Dad, has already gotten 14 entries in his homegrown contest. So, basically, the bar has been set and the U.S. dads are getting their butts whooped right now. Reservoir Dad has even generated some solid media coverage for the contest. Check it out—he’s featured in an article by a local paper. Dude's a rock star now because of the contest--that could be you!
Since the dawn of time--or perhaps longer, it has been thought that in order for male to become more desireable it was all about our or to become sexier in the eyes of their significant others a long series of workouts with an ab cruncher were in order. But, as we have come to discover, women find their husbands sexy when they step up and pitch in. That could mean scrubbing the toilets, mopping the floors or changing the catbox. Other turn ons for moms include being a good dad and a complimentary mate. Our good friend from Australia cowboyed this idea into a contest for the dads down unda. Now, it's time the US followed suit. So, today we are unveiling our own 'Mentally Sexy' contest here at Dad Blogs. Our contest will run paralell to the contest in Australia in the efforts to promote a friendly rivalry between the two countries and in order to spart a second competition based off of finalists from each country. The winner of this second contest would be the undisputed 'World's Most Mentally Sexy Dad." If that isn't a braggable title--I don't know what is.
What do we want to see? We want to see pictures of dads working tirelessly on chores. We want to see movies of dads overwhelmed by hordes of children. We want to see pictures of dads giving their wives flowers or surprising them with a home cooked dinner. We want creativity. Creativity wins wars--or contests.
