Since the dawn of time--or perhaps longer, it has been thought that in order for male to become more desireable it was all about our or to become sexier in the eyes of their significant others a long series of workouts with an ab cruncher were in order. But, as we have come to discover, women find their husbands sexy when they step up and pitch in. That could mean scrubbing the toilets, mopping the floors or changing the catbox. Other turn ons for moms include being a good dad and a complimentary mate. Our good friend from Australia cowboyed this idea into a contest for the dads down unda. Now, it's time the US followed suit. So, today we are unveiling our own 'Mentally Sexy' contest here at Dad Blogs. Our contest will run paralell to the contest in Australia in the efforts to promote a friendly rivalry between the two countries and in order to spart a second competition based off of finalists from each country. The winner of this second contest would be the undisputed 'World's Most Mentally Sexy Dad." If that isn't a braggable title--I don't know what is.
What do we want to see? We want to see pictures of dads working tirelessly on chores. We want to see movies of dads overwhelmed by hordes of children. We want to see pictures of dads giving their wives flowers or surprising them with a home cooked dinner. We want creativity. Creativity wins wars--or contests.

Where to find the Entries
Each new entry will be displayed either here at Dad-Blogs, in our Dad Blogs Mentally Sexy HQ, or at Reservoir Dad websites.
National Competitions
The National competitions will be open until October 4th, 2010.
At the end of the competition, female judges from each country will choose their own countries Top Five Mentally Sexy Dads and, from that five, a National winner.
World’s Most Mentally Sexy Dad
After the Australian and American Most Mentally Sexy Dads have been crowned, the top five from each country will be given two weeks to submit a second round entry. These second round entries will be sent to all American and Australian judges.
The judges will give each entry a score from 0 – 10, for a total out of fifty, based on the five following criteria:
Judging Criteria:
Sincerity – Does the entrant seem sincere in his effort to be Mentally Sexy?
Engineered Originality – How original is the entry? How hard did this guy try to be Mentally Sexy?
X Factor – Is there something special about this entry that sets it apart from the crowd? Something extra Mentally Sexy?Sustainability – From the information provided does it seem the entrant will be able to maintain Mental Sexiness long-term? Or is this a flash in the pan attempt at glory?

e entrant with the highest score will be crowned the 2010's World’s Most Mentally Sexy Dad late November.
Prizes: Pick your Gadget
The top four runner ups of the American Mentally Sexy Contest will each win a $60 gift card to newegg.
The winner of the Most Mentally Sexy Dad in America will win more than just a title, they will win a $200 newegg gift card and a Mentally Sexy Dad T-shrit designed especially for the champ. Of course, the champ will also be the adoration of countless throngs of moms and they will because of that be the envy of all dads across the United States.
The Australian prizes and the prizes for the World's Most Mentally Sexy Dad are to be decided.
