Fatherhood Friday is both a day and a growing community of dads and moms sharing stories, ideas, photos and movies with one topic in mind - fatherhood. In a world that seems happy to deliver a message that dads are incapable buffoons, Dad Blogs is committed to changing that perception. The reality is, as we see it, parents today are more aware of parenting and the impact it has on their children and dads everywhere are becoming more active caregivers. Fatherhood Friday 40! As in any other week here at Dad Blogs, it's time to post our fatherhood posts and visit each others blogs. Later today, I will be posting the Dad Blogs Twilight Experiment Group Project. Basically, it is the first attempt of its kind here at DB. The Twilight Experiment is an effort to both garner traffic and attention to dad bloggers through writing insightful content about a topic and linking to each others posts. I feel that this kind of unity will only further the cause of dad bloggers and help promote the genre and our relevance across the net. We are the next big thing. Mommy bloggers (I'm not talking about our DB moms) have had their day in the sun--it's our turn.Rant over.
Next up, The Feeds. If you haven't heard the news, The Feeds are going away December 1st. Why? Because there's a new game in town and it's way better and way cooler--the Blog Directory. The Blog Directory is great. You can list and review your blog and review other people's blogs. I suggest that you review other dad bloggers in an effort to get reciprocal reviews. I will be doing my best to review as many blogs I can over the course of forever, if every once in while you feel motivated--hook up a couple reviews. So far I have found some awesome blogs that I had no idea existed before and that's the power of the reviews. Basically, to get listed simply go to the Get Listed at Dad Blogs link on the right header menu. It only takes a minute to add your blog and you will receive a back link to your blog instantly because of it. Nice right?

It's really tough trying to keep up with a blog when being on vacation when your regular "job" is writing a blog. I can never get away! A blog is a ball-and-chain!
