In an attempt to level the time zonal playing field, we decided to start Fatherhood Friday a bit later this week--3:30am EST is what I call late anyways. We have heard grumblings from the east coasters for a while now saying that is has been very difficult for them to crack the top ten in the list with any regularity, which would explain this tardiness of this post. Well, that and the fact that both Pete and I forgot about it entirely until I woke up from a dead sleep exclaiming, "Holy Smokes! It's Fatherhood Friday!" So, with half and excuse and half an explanation comes Fatherhood Friday 22. Like any good parent, it's good to be nimble with our explanations.
Just the other day one of my youngest daughter saw me drinking milk right out of the carton and said, "Da-da, we're not supposed to do that are we?"
To which, I replied, "You earn the right when you become an adult." To a four-year-old that seemed to make sense. So, fuzzy logic would pretty much sum up this week's theme.
Also, we are still looking for more contributions to the Daddy Yak III project. So far we have one submission from MyTwoDaddies and another on its way from myself makes two. I would like to give everyone an opportunity to participate, so if you have a video forthcoming, just leave a note in the comment section here stating where you are in the production process otherwise it will be the M2D & Joeprah show.
With all that being said, remembering how to be a good steward of Fatherhood Friday is easy (as long as the Mr. Linky widget goes up on time). Just follow these simple guidelines:
- Do post a Dad Blogs badge on your blog and watch your popularity grow exponentially
- Do link to awesome posts on your blog (link directly to the post, not the homepage)
- Do link back to Dad Blogs and Fatherhood Friday
- Do not link to something unrelated like the differences between viral and bacterial pathogens
- Do visit as many other contributors as possible
- Do tweet about your post and add the hashtag "#FatherhoodFriday" to the end of the tweet
- Are you a Twitter Dad? Add your Twitter ID and link to the list.
- Do subscribe to the Dad Blogs feed

I can't believe Joeprah and Peteej fell asleep forgetting Fatherhood Fridays! It makes me feel better about my mind drifts. Happy Fatherhood Friday to everyone. I know I'll enjoy reading your posts.
