Fatherhood Friday is both a day and a growing community of dads and moms sharing stories, ideas, photos and movies with one topic in mind - fatherhood. In a world that seems happy to deliver a message that dads are incapable buffoons, Dad Blogs is committed to changing that perception. The reality is, as we see it, parents today are more aware of parenting and the impact it has on their children and dads everywhere are becoming more active caregivers. If you don't believe me--check out the posts in our archives.

Ok, a quick recap from last week: if you don't like themes--don't sweat 'em, just go with what you got. For those of you who do we are sticking with TV Dads for another week. Has anyone seen Modern Family? Does anyone have a take on the dads on that show? I find it entertaining and although the dads tend be comical they understand that they are dads and make an effort to pass on advice and spend quality time with their offspring. For my part that's what my last week was comprimised of mostly: a sick kid and me spending quality time with her as she laid captive to a virus that gave her a pretty solid fever for the better part of a week and lots of aches and pains (nope it wasn't the flu).  That's one of the downfalls of schools--sick kids infecting each other. If you want to get sick I think there aren't a whole lot of environments worse than an elementary school. It's like the ER, but you send your kids there all day long. I digress--it's Fatherhood Friday!

If kids are taught to wash their hands several times a day and use the hand sanitizer (with alcohol) that should be available in every classroom across the country, then an elementary school classroom is no more infectious than any other public place.

) Sorry to hear about all the dads and moms dealing with their children's illnesses. I will be joining you as the youngest is not feeling well. I hope everyone had a happy FF!
