The reason for starting this Blog is because I am finding it hard to pay for my kid's college education and went looking for help on-line. I also happened to be doing research for my fantasy football team and came across this cool web-site that won't help me, but could help you.
It is a called FantasyFootballLeagues.com and as you can see in the name, is targeting Families and Education.Â
The interesting thing about this website is that it pays prizes to 529 plans and allows for people to play for Charities. This is some info I was able to get about the site:
Background
FamilyFantasySports.com was launched in 2008. The goal of the site is to provide a clean and simple format that allows families to enjoy Fantasy Sports play together. It is FREE to play and prizes are focused on contributions to 529 plans (College Savings Plans). This focus on 529 plans has helped educate parents who may not already have a plan established and offers the best way to get started.Â
In its first football season, they had over 1,000 teams participate. Â
They are trying to get families and teachers involved.  Teachers can incorporate it into their weekly lesson plans. Families can connect with out of state friends and families through friendly competition. Not to mention playing for a good cause or the opportunity to win college savings prizes.
I'm listing a few different links for anyone interested:Â
