I was scrambling the other day looking for an actual definition of the what a ‘dad blog' is and after spending what seemed like an eternity on Google (see 32 seconds) I gave up and wrote my own.
My Dad Blog Definition:
dad blog (dad blŏg)
n. A personal weblog about ones journey through fatherhood. Dad blogs are typically written by men, but sometimes moms who don't write about scrapbooking and Longaberger parties 24/7 unintentionally are writing a lesser/hybrid version of the dad blog. Dad blogs are both humorous and sage like. Dad blogs are written by dads who are passionate about their dadliness and are both a place for dads to speak their mind on any number of social issues and pedestal upon which to place their adored children.
ex. "I am awesome thus I write a dad blog."
adj. A category of weblogs that are written by fathers which embody awesomeness.
ex. "Wow, Pete! That's one fancy supertastic blog you have there." Angry, but not too angry Pete responds, "It's not a blog it's a dad blog-eat crap and die Gary."
Do you have a dad blog? Leave a link to it in the comments because we rule.
